These two interactive 75-minute webinars will include lecture, discussion, and exercises that allow participants to gain a deeper understanding of the topic.

Attorneys are charged and challenged to represent, strategize, and influence interactions with clients, colleagues and members of the judicial system. The work you do demands that you identify possible bias among potential jurors, witnesses and officers of the court.

Acknowledgement that unconscious bias exists allows us to take steps to mitigate its effects. Exploration of ways to identify and examine one’s own biases can further open the door to reducing harm and disparities in treatment within legal practice.

This session will identify and demonstrate different types of unconscious bias and focus on the importance of developing skill at recognizing and managing the bias that exists within you that can impact your decision making and ability to practice law effectively.

This course examines concepts of diversity, inclusion and equity and how they show up in arenas whose purpose is to achieve justice for all concerned.
