Judge Link, a native Houstonian, has been a litigator for 37 years. During this time, he spent 11 years as a State of Texas Civil District Judge and was perennially one of the highest rated judge in Harris County by the attorneys in the Houston Bar Association.
He was also elected by his peers into the American Board of Trial Advocates an honor bestowed on less than one percent (1%) of lawyers in America.
Judge Link also became Board Certified in both, Personal Injury Trial Law and Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Board Certification may only be achieved after trying the required number of lawsuits in each category as the “First Chair,” or lead attorney and successfully passing very difficult tests for each certification. Statistics show that less than one half percent of attorneys are Board Certified in both categories.
Judge Link is also “AV” Preeminent Rating by Martindale Hubbel. This means that Judge Link’s peers (other attorneys) have evaluated him with the highest possible rating when considering his legal knowledge and ethical conduct. Only a small percentage of lawyers receive the “AV” rating.
Serving as a judge allows a unique insight into the anatomy of a trial and the best way to present the evidence to the judge and jury in a fashion they understand and remember.
