David Mazie is a senior partner in the law firm of Mazie Slater Katz & Freeman, LLC which is located in Roseland. Mr. Mazie has had more than 50 settlements and verdicts in excess of $1 million. He has won the two largest personal injury verdicts in New Jersey history – a $166 million jury verdict against DYFS and the State of New Jersey for failing to protect three month old Jadiel Velesquez from his abusive father, and a $130 million jury verdict against Aramark Corporation for serving a visibly intoxicated individual who then caused a car accident rendering then two year old Antonia Verni a ventilator dependent quadriplegic. In 2005 Mr. Mazie was named New Jersey Law Journal’s of the Year, and in June of 2014 he was named to the New Jersey Law Journal’s Personal Injury Hall of Fame.
Founded in the late 1940s and incorporated in 1976, the New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ) is headquartered in Trenton, New Jersey.
