As co-author of A Consumer’s Guide to Long Term Care in Virginia, Lauren is dedicated to working on behalf of families in cases of nursing home abuse, neglect and medical malpractice. She has taught and lectured throughout Virginia advising families on selecting long-term care options. She is AV rated, a Fellow in the Virginia Law Foundation, member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and Active Member in the AAJ Long Term Care Section. Lauren and her husband, Whit, are very active in the Roanoke Valley: opening a restaurant, The River and Rail; volunteering and serving Family Promise of Greater Roanoke, a local homeless shelter; attending Second Presbyterian Church; spending time with their daughter, pets and occasionally writing for Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine.

NJAJ is a statewide association of over 2,700 members in private practice and public service, paralegals, law clerks, law students and law school graduates not yet admitted to the bar.
