Shari A. Rivkind, Esq. is in private practice in West New York, New Jersey and the owner of The Rivkind Law Firm. Her practice concentrates on the representation of medical providers, including filing PIP arbitrations, advising same on regulatory compliance, and defending same before medical boards, insurance companies and the Attorney General. She has filed tens of thousands of pip arbitrations during her last over 20 years of practice, has produced numerous handbooks for medical providers. She is a zealous advocate of medical providers, having several written decisions in favor of her clients in an environment where such decisions are rare, including one issued by the late Honorable Charles E. Villanueva, J.S.C. Ms. Rivkind received her undergraduate degree from The George Washington University and her law degree from Boston University School of Law. She is a member of the Bar in the States of California and New Jersey, a Member of the Board of Governors of NJAJ and one of its Pip Committee Co-chairs. She has spoken numerous times on behalf of NJAJ, ICLE, the Certification course for Electrodiagnostic testing approved by the NJ Board of Chiropractic and at private seminars for medical providers and attorneys.
Founded in the late 1940s and incorporated in 1976, the New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ) is headquartered in Trenton, New Jersey. NJAJ is a statewide association of over 2,700 members in private practice and public service, paralegals, law clerks, law students and law school graduates not yet admitted to the bar.
