Daniel Pomeroy has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1982. After graduating magna cum laude from St. Michael's College and with high honors from Seton Hall University School of Law, Mr. Pomeroy served as law clerk to the Honorable Robert L. Clifford, Associate Justice, Supreme Court of New Jersey. From 1982 through 1985, Mr. Pomeroy was an associate at the defense firm of Connell, Foley and Geiser prior to forming predecessor firm Mortenson and Pomeroy in October 1985. In 2012, he co-founded Pomeroy, Heller & Ley, LLC. Mr. Pomeroy is a fellow in both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Foundation of the American Bar Association. He is also past president of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates and past chairman of the New Jersey Defense Association Automobile Insurance Coverage Committee. Mr. Pomeroy has tried more than 135 jury cases for insurance companies and injured individuals. In addition, he has argued approximately 100 appeals, and has appeared before the Supreme Court of New Jersey on eight occasions.
Founded in the late 1940s and incorporated in 1976, the New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ) is headquartered in Trenton, New Jersey. NJAJ is a statewide association of over 2,700 members in private practice and public service, paralegals, law clerks, law students and law school graduates not yet admitted to the bar.
