He is also a highly acclaimed author of several novels, including his latest, Gods of Wood and Stone.

Karen DeSoto, J.D., LL.M. is an on-air legal analyst for NBC News and MSNBC covering hot topic legal issues and trials of national interest. Off the air Karen is the Director and co-founder of the Global Mediation Exchange Center. She is also a professor at the Rutgers University School of Criminal Justice. As an attorney she served as the youngest and first Hispanic and woman to serve as Corporation counsel for the City of Jersey City. Karen also was a prosecutor, defense attorney, and a trial attorney concentrating in civil rights and employment.
