Justice Anne M. Patterson was born in Trenton, New Jersey in 1959.  She graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Government in 1980, and received her J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1983.  Justice Patterson then joined the Morristown, New Jersey law firm of Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland & Perretti as an associate.  In 1989, Justice Patterson left Riker Danzig to serve as a deputy attorney general and special assistant to New Jersey Attorney General Peter N. Perretti, Jr., handling civil litigation and criminal appeals on behalf of the state.  She rejoined Riker Danzig and became a partner in the firm in 1992.  Her practice focused on product liability, intellectual property and commercial litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts.  Justice Patterson served as Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Product Liability and Toxic Tort Section, as an officer and trustee of the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey, and as a trustee of the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey.  From 1991 to 2006, Justice Patterson served on the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Character.  
Justice Patterson was nominated as an Associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court by Governor Chris Christie and was sworn in on September 1, 2011.  She was nominated for tenure by Governor Phil Murphy and was sworn in on 
July 31, 2018.

Women Trial Lawyers Caucus Mission:  The NJAJ Women Trial Lawyers Caucus seeks to advance the admirable and selfless philosophy in NJAJ’s mission, to provide positive role models as women trial lawyers, to broaden the membership base of NJAJ to include women by informing them of NJAJ’s membership services and mission, to provide a support system of women to network, socialize, form professional relationships and develop female leadership for NJAJ, to provide fellowship and mentorship to newly-licensed female lawyers who embark on a career of trial law, and to uphold the honor and dignity of the legal profession.
Seating is limited and pre-registration is recommended.

The lunch and program are free for those registered for the entire Meadowlands Seminar program.

There is a $35 fee for those who wish to attend this program solely.

This program is open to all seminar attendees.

NJAJ has partnered with JerseyCares, a nonprofit organization, that recruits and engages volunteers in rewarding, effective efforts that address community-identified needs. 

The First Night Kit Program helps individuals in domestic violence shelters, transitional housing facilities, runaway safe havens, foster homes and other agencies with transitional populations in need of hygiene items on the "first night" of their stay. 

Please bring ONLY new, unopened items. Pajamas, T-shirts, socks and underwear must still have tags on. 

Items needed for First Night Kits include:

• Conditioner
• Lotion
• Toothpaste
• Toothbrushes
• Deodorant
• Combs and brushes
• Note pads and pens
• Calling cards (5 minutes or more)
• Pajamas (sizes for children and adults)
• T-shirts
• Socks
• Underwear
• Gallon-size zip lock bags
• New/unopened small toys (for children's kits)

Women Litigators’ Luncheon to donate to this worthy cause!

Friday, November 15th is the last day for a refund (minus $20).
All cancellations must be in writing.

After Friday, cancellations and no shows will receive a credit (minus $20)
automatically good for 1 year for a future seminar or an on-demand seminar at
